Higher Qualification for Seafarers

With its Institue for Higher Qualification of Seafarers the educational complex BGA-KMC offers refresher training according to the requirements of chapters V and VI of the International Convention STCW-78 with amendments and the ISPS Code as well as additional vocational traing for professional seamen and experts in the fishing and car as well as the transport industries through our Centres of International Logistical, of Engineering Pedagogics and of Automobile Electronics.

An extraordinary important role in the training of professional seafarers plays the Certified Nautical Training Center of the Kaliningrad Marine College, where all ship's navigational instruments can be simulated electronically. This centre enables students to in-depth studies and practical application of a vessel's technical equipment, raising the professional qualification of seamen and officers. It is licensed for radar-tracking preparation, GMDSS, electronic cartography and all bridge equipment as well as for survival training for professional seamen, incl. visualization and simulator preparation.
